Vesak Goodie Bag packing by our Senior Volunteers!
When we rallied for volunteers to come forward to help out with the Vesak Goodie Bag packing, we were heartened when so many seniors came forward to volunteer their time and effort. Some even gathered their friends to come together to help out! In all, we managed to gather almost 20 senior volunteers.
Our staff were initially concerned that the goodie bag packing will be physically taxing for the seniors but we were amazed that they went on with so much enthusiasm for over 2 hours. It was also heartening to see many of the senior volunteers making friends with one another and enjoying their experience.
At the end of the day, we managed to pack over 500 goodie bags over just those 2 hours and many approached us, eager to come again for future volunteering opportunities.
