Chairman’s Message
The year 2024 has been a transformative period of growth and development for Blossom Seeds.
We are proud to have reached key milestones while continuing to deliver impactful initiatives to support our seniors.
Awards and Milestones
• People’s Association (PA) Excellence Community Award
• MCCY Transparency Award 2024
• Renewal of our Volunteer Centre designation under SG Cares by MCCY for two more years. Key Visits and Collaborations • Hosted NHG Deputy CEO, sharing their mission for community health.
• Welcomed AIC CEO to our centre.
• Established a core team of three part-time staff, including an experienced palliative doctor, to initiate work on obtaining a licence for Palliative Home Care.
Financial Performance
For the year ending 31 December 2024:
• Income: $3,942,000 (up from $3,228,000 in 2023), including $732,000 from CST.
• Surplus: $1,448,000 (up from $678,000 in 2023), driven by a significant one-time donor contribution. As a growing charity, we aim to maintain our reserves at three years’ worth of operating costs to support our expansion plans.
Future Outlook
- Expansion Plans:
• Applied for a second Active Ageing Centre (AAC) in Canberra.
• Plans to expand Palliative Home Care (HPC) services in 2025 upon MOH licence approval.
• Long-term vision includes establishing an Assisted Living and Nursing Home to better serve the community’s needs.
