Purple Party and Launch of SG Cares VC@ Sembawang

After a 2-year hiatus, we could finally gather physically again. Blossom Seeds held our Purple Party Volunteer Appreciation at Level 2 & 3 of Blk 105 Canberra Street, to express our thanks to our volunteers for their commitment and dedication during the Pandemic, and the support provided by our community partners. Minister Ong Ye Kung, Adviser for Sembawang GROs graced the occasion, while still recovering from dengue.

The event also coincides with the launch of SG Cares Volunteer Centre (VC) for Sembawang Town by Deputy Secretary of Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY), Mr Philip Ong and witnessed by our community partners, fellow agencies, Grassroots organisation partners and volunteers.  This is an acknowledgement of the collective efforts with our stakeholders present today.

Emcee Fei Fei and Emcee Naz led the audience of 200 volunteers and 120 community partners thumping to the beat of the Umbrella song, to symbolise unity, shelter, and protection. The umbrella dance represents the various community partners coming together to bring shelter and protection to the beneficiaries.
