60th Singapore National Day Museum visit 2025 with Micron
Celebrating National Day Through Our Nation’s Story
In the lead-up to National Day, our seniors took a meaningful walk down memory lane at the National Museum — joined by our dedicated corporate volunteers from Micron Singapore and People's Association.
Together, they revisited Singapore’s journey from hardship to hope, including the pivotal moment of separation in 1965. One quote that stood out came from Mr Lee Kuan Yew’s heartfelt speech on August 9, 1965:
“We are going to have a multi-racial society in Singapore. We will set out to build a democratic society based on justice and equality, so that whatever your race, language or religion, you are a citizen of Singapore with equal rights and equal obligations.” ...Everybody will have his place: equal; language, culture, religion.”
This visit reminded us that nation-building isn’t just history — it lives on in our seniors’ stories, and in the actions of volunteers who continue to build bridges across generations.
As we celebrate SG60, may we always remember the vision of Singapore as a place we all call home — united, inclusive, and full of heart. Majulah Singapura!
